Hire a senior engineer – without the recruiter fee

An unusual proposal – a financial one, so here are the numbers.

The usual cost of hiring a senior fullstack engineer

  • Headhunter fee: 20–35% of annual salary (€12,000–21,000 at this level)
  • Job ads, screening, interview rounds: weeks of your team’s time
  • If it doesn’t work out: 3–6 months’ salary lost

My offer – delete those cost lines

  • I work 2 months for zero salary. Your only cost is a Claude Max plan – the tooling I use anyway.
  • If I prove myself: you retroactively pay the 2 months in whatever form suits you, and my salary is €5,000/month.
  • If not: we part as friends. Your total risk: ~€400. Everything I built stays yours.
